Privacy policy

How Yeyyey collects, uses and protects your information. We collect only what we need to run the marketplace and meet PNG legal obligations — we never sell your data.

Information we collect

Account details (name, email, phone, preferred language and currency), delivery and billing addresses, your orders, returns and reviews, and the support messages you send us.

We do not store full card numbers. Card and mobile-money payments are processed by our PNG-licensed payment gateway; we only keep a payment reference and status.

How we use it

To create and fulfil your orders, coordinate delivery with vendors, process payments and refunds, issue GST-compliant tax invoices, provide support, and keep the platform secure.

Vendors receive only the information needed to fulfil their portion of your order — your name, delivery address and the items purchased.

Sharing your information

We share data with the vendors fulfilling your orders, our payment gateway and banks (to take payment and issue refunds), and delivery carriers such as Post PNG. We may disclose information where required by PNG law or a lawful request from the ICCC or other authority.

We never sell your personal information to third parties.

How long we keep it

Records are retained in line with PNG requirements: financial and tax records for 7 years, operational records for 3 years, security records for 1 year, and general system logs for 90 days.

Security

Access is protected by authenticated sessions and two-factor authentication for platform staff. Sensitive fields such as bank account and tax numbers are encrypted at rest, and access is logged.

Your choices & contact

You can view and update your details under My account, and request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting support@yeyyey.com. Some records must be retained to meet tax and legal obligations even after account closure.
